How gay I am??

1

Today I found out some interesting test while I was surfing through blog. Accidently (I should tell this) I reached to meroguff.com. There was one post about how gay are you. The test was prepared by channel 4. So I clicked there and decided to have test for myself. What was my result?

My result said: Rabin is 43% Gay. Congratulations! You’ve scored right in the middle and are a happy and well adjusted hetero man!

Haha the test result was hilarious. I wonder how on earth people make such tests and predict the results. How could some silly questions determine my orientation? So to check whether its result remain same or change with the first question choice, I again took the test. Instead of ticking “has sex with female”, I checked both (both means both stupid!) this time. And filled the answers same as I did before. And again my test result was 43% but with different caption. This time it said:
You are very open-minded between the sheets and just as balanced when out in the streets!

Last time there was on test in facebook determining how Nepali I am. I took the test and the result was:

Trying not to be Nepali: You are for some reason ashamed of being Nepali and try pretend you are not. You have perfected your Accent , and personal Style so well; that even when other Nepali see you, they cannot figure out if you are from China/Korea/ or some other asian countries. However, that fact that you took this quiz does suggest otherwise. Maybe you do have Nepali in you that you are trying to supress (unless of course you were forced to take it!!)

Look at the test results: Everytime i took some test, the results are so JPT and Bakwas. Not to mention the stupid questions. It just makes me laugh on and on :) :-)

The Stupid Justice System of US

0

US, finally, is prosecuting some of the 9/11 suspects, detained in Guantanamo Bay but the saddest part is, it is prosecuting 5 alleged suspects before military court and whatever the outcome is, they will be held and will be treated as enemy soldiers.
US says they are responsible for 9/11 attacks and as evidence, they have produced some evidences which were gathered using various tortures like water-boarding etc.
The US always says they stand for democracy and human rights, no matter what circumstances or situation are. For many HR activists and countries, US is beacon of hope for HR. But this case proves that they too are no different than N. Korea or Iran, when it comes to their own interest. So why to play band proclaiming self as the only protector and promoter of Human Rights.
All the evidences against the accused are obtained using various tortures form like water-boarding (a form of torture that consists of immobilizing a person on their back with the head inclined downward and pouring water over the face and into the breathing passages. Through forced suffocation and inhalation of water, the subject experiences the process of drowning and is made to believe that death is imminent.), prolonged isolation, prolonged sleep deprivation, sensory deprivation, extremely painful “stress positions,” sensory bombardment (such as prolonged loud noise and/or bright lights), forced nakedness, sexual humiliation, cultural humiliation (such as desecration of holy scriptures), being subjected to extreme cold that induces hypothermia, exploitation of phobias etc.
Such evidences would have never found its place in US civil court, but with Military Commission Act of 2006, such techniques have found a way to crawl inside the justice. Even the experts are pointing out that, evidences gathered by using such techniques are unreliable and cannot be accepted. But Mr. Bush is determined to hand over death penalty to the alleged masterminds.
Even if the court finds alleged innocent, they won’t be freed. They will be detained for their life time and this is how the US Justice would feel the change.
How could a civilized country can accept use of such tortures? And if they accept it, then why they have problem when other countries use it? Why they term Hitler, a monster for using very same techniques and killing millions of people whereas they are also following same steps? For Hitler, Jews were not good enough to be humans and wanted to erase them. For US inmates in Guantanamo Bay are same, like Jews were for Hitler.
I am not saying here they are innocent. They might be very dangerous like US claims them to be. But at least, US can follow the justice system that it feels proud about and not promote use of torture of any form. Aren’t there other ways to get information? The guilty should be punished but that doesn’t mean punishing everyone suspected to be guilty.
But history suggest whatever US does is right and when other do, it’s crime. Look how stupidly US justice and US HR policy runs. When Saddam Hussein kills thousands of Kurds, it’s crime against humanity. When US soldiers erase whole village including innocent babies and women, then it’s not crime against humanity. No country can prosecute US soldiers for such crimes. And US just prosecute them in their own way.
This is how the US justice runs. Instead of being proud of their justice, they should be ashamed. With the US Presidential Election around the corner, Bush is trying hard to close this chapter before another President closes it. He wants some outcome which might help John McCain to win the US race.
The U.S. Supreme Court struck down an earlier system as unconstitutional in 2006, and is to rule this month on the rights of Guantanamo prisoners, potentially delaying or halting the proceedings.

A Happy person, with happy thoughts

3

What’s love?

Many like me, before or after, have or will, try to understand this simple enigma called love. I went through the number of such turmoil but never quiet understood. What I could understand was: the pain is sweet and you want more and more.

But when to understand your limits are over and now shouldn’t be crossed? The happiness you seek now is no more there, and pursuing it might result such excruciating pain which is not sweet but sour.

The definition of thin line depends on individuals. There’s no hard and fast rule over the heart. It’s all about being able to identify ways to make yourself happy, no matter what. And taking right decision which won’t create complications for any one. After all, everyone wants to be:

A happy person with happy thoughts!!

But sad part is: Its us, who make our simple life, full of complications. We try to make happy-web but get lost in mid-way and hang there for eternity. Wish, I could make my life complications free!! Not only about love, but everything. Its just a wish, after all.

YI Party, The great Bill and the Hangover

1

What’s the fun of any party? What makes you feel you had great time? Well the answer is pretty clear I guess. In my view, the perfect party is that where a little of this or that of everything is available, you don’t get bored any moment and at the end you can laugh about the whole thing.

And about laughing moments, one of the best moments is watching your friends get wasted (and irony is you are also being wasted).

Last Saturday we had party. Well the reason of party was to celebrate first anniversary of our Company. We had dinner and headed to bar, our very own Sam’s Bar (people who are regular to Thamel knows about it, but for novice, its located at Sath Ghumti). We started the session with welcome drink and that too, Tequila. After one shot of tequila each, the real session began. Everyone was ordering the drink of their choice and new drinks were also being tasted. And Bibhusan dai was so happy being 5 years younger (hehehe haven’t thought he thinks himself of being old). He taught us about the different drink and we all learnt many things about new drinks. (Malibu tastes like coconut and Kahlua is like chocolate, On The Rocks means with Ice and many more).

After some time, when the drink began to show color, the real fun started. We all dreamed of having our 5th anniversary party at Pataya, Bangkok (actually we talked abt it when we were at dinner), and the dream grew even stronger. We didn’t have any cake or champagne to celebrate (though we tried to have one, but failed) but we had beer. Who cares about champagne when you got beer!! We all shared the beer and wished for success. Though we all were having fun, but Geshan was somewhat looking bored. Lets not talk about Lakesh, he was Mr. Silent forever. I had hoped, he would speak when alcohol brings emotions. But… hmmm….

After sometime Bibhusan dai, Anjesh Dai, Geshan and Sanil left, but we stayed on. We continued drinking and talking. Now Bibek was beginning to talk about his relation and Anjan was becoming another Devdas. I was not being able to stop my babbling mouth whereas Sangita was inquiring Lakesh. And our Prashat was again lost in his Phone world. After about 4 hours of drinking, we all headed for home. And the bill was, unbelievable. It costs us Rs. 5800.

But Lakesh was hungry, so we bought one sandwich and Sangita began dialing her BF (if someone wants to name, ask yourself hehe), and we all were talking with him. Bibek was feeling nausea and also hungry.

And when we reached home, Bibek puked. And the hangover remained.

Anjan was having terrible headache and I was feeling so dehydrated, i drank so many liters of water. And I was feeling kinda weird. Sangita was feeling dehydrated too though there wasn’t headache (Thank God!!)

All this left me wondering, is the price of Rs. 5800 worth which leaves you in bad shape??

But whatever it was, for me it’s worth.

Environment day: Celebrate with actions!

1

Today is June 5th which means World Environment Day. Many rallies, programs, discussions are being held to mark the day.

Today I woke up and watched The Earth In Peril, special CNN show about the global warming. Day before yesterday I had watched Witness, a program of Al Jajeera which was focused on impact of global warming in the Himalayas, Nepal. Such many shows are airing this week and even fashion has gone green. (That was theme of one fashion show in Fashion TV). But are our acts enough to save the only living planet. Or this whole idea of global warming is fake?

I remember Prashat saying this whole Global Warming Theory is the biggest conspiracy theory of all. Well, he didn’t explain why is so (may be he was joking) but this hit me. How could we wait for this to be proven fake or true by some silly willy scientist. Why not taking matters in our own hands and help where we can. Waiting for the government and the international community to act would be like sitting on volcano and waiting to be rescued. Instead of waiting, we should start running to safe areas.

If we to start doing ourselves, then the question arise, what can we do? Here are few things which I follow:

  1. Always turn off TV or Computers when not needed. (Here also people might say, the act of turning off and on of monitors could increase use of power. I don’t know that, but at least it decreased the production of radiation and heat)
  2. Don’t throw all the litters everywhere.
  3. Reduce use of plastic bags.
  4. Don’t leave adapters attached to plug. (Remember this Prash)
  5. If the distance is short, either use you foot or public transport. Why using bike for every few distance?
  6. If you got space, why not starting some gardening :)
  7. Not flushing toilet too often. (one time flush takes around 2 liters of water, and remember how many liters of water we might throw away unknowingly). But this doesn’t mean keeping toilet filthy.
  8. And above all, speak when needed. If someone is honking horn too much, or doing any other activities that concern you, me and everyone – speak up.

Such small steps won’t bring drastic change, but at least, will give you sense of satisfaction, that we are doing all in our capabilities to make this world, a safer place.

P.S. I sounded like some teacher, hehe, not trying to be one. But just reminding!!!
