The war in Cricket

It seems cricket rivalry between Australia and India is here to last long.

After Sydney fiasco, people were expecting may be this whole affair is over, at least for now. But how wrong were we. Again in same Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG), another controversy sparks between Indian bowler Ishant Sharma and Australian Andrew Symonds. Televisions replay clearly shows Symond saying something to Ishant after he was bowled out and Ishant replying to him f**k off showing pavilion.
Of course, match referee once again punished Indians but Australians were spared again. Now Symonds claims that he just praised him for good bowling which Indian team denies.
After racism controversy, ugly Australians were once again exposed but ICC, cricket governing organization, has timely and again spared Australians. ICC’s zero tolerance policy towards racism or other legal punishments have only found way to sub-continental players. These are the Australians who invented sledging to provoke opponent players. And they even invented nice term “mental disintegration” technique to back it up. And sad part is when opponent player reacted back to their so called mental disintegration, it’s the reacting party which has to pay. And the Ugly Australians are there, laughing.
It’s really sad that provocation is still there and ICC is doing nothing to stop it. India has shown back it can’t accept such sledging. With it’s financial power, it has already flexed it muscles and forced ICC to change its punishment on Harbhanjan Singh during SCG test fiasco. And it even forced umpires to be changed.
Now the whole cricket world is debating over use of sledging and India’s power. I believe, such sledging should be stopped ASAP and punish all those who ignite the fire. Ignition results fire, if there’s no ignition the threat of fire is no more.
Punish Ugly Australians for their provocation tactics and stop India from flexing it’s muscles. Otherwise, we will loose this beautiful game.
Start with punishing Mathew Hayden who can’t keep his rivalry against Harbhajan off the field and Symond who stirs all. Also don’t spare Ricky Ponting too. If Indians also do same, don’t spare them too.
