Two realities of Kathmandu
These are the two realities of Kathmandu. Watch video and find out what they are:
First video is of petrol line which was in front of Sajha yatayat. It was almost 1 Km long. Because of petro-crisis, such scenes are not only common, but now accepted. Such lines also causes huge traffic jam and yeah, you need to pay more to ride taxis.
Second video is of garbage that was piled up at Thamel. Due to Kathmandu Metropolitan’s differences with landfill site, Kathmandu’s garbage wasn’t removed from streets. This made Kathmandu more stinky, vulnerable to diseases and dirty. And one can easily imagine what impact such pile of garbage at Thamel, a popular tourist destination, might have left on our tourist friends.
a small note to say a big thank you for bringing these issue to us.
even though these 2 issues are very very serious and sensitive still our leaders and administration are unanswerable to the people. aren’t they ashamed?
garbage mgmt. is a everyday work and they should have planned it for 10 years by now already. they must have different options. its not like natural crisis sudeenly came infront of them.
even for natural crisis , countries around the world are planning and preparing crisis managemnt. but our nepal …..ufffffff
come to think of it how serious the case is? the garbage was lying on the streets. i feel shame on being nepali sometimes.
